The event featured hoisting of the national flags of Sri Lanka and Cyprus, followed by the playing of both national anthems and lighting oil lamps and playing traditional ‘Rabbans’
The events were thoughtfully organized, showcasing a full range of traditional Avurudu games and cultural activities.
A large number of Sri Lankans participated enthusiastically, while the organizing team did an excellent job bringing together the community from across different cities in Cyprus.
It is truly encouraging to witness such strong national pride, teamwork, and dedication.
